A local yarn store is closing and selling everything, so I had to go, of course, though I didn’t need anything.   “Hello, my name is Kathi, and I’m addicted to yarn.”  It’s true!   Anyway, I fed my addiction with a few skeins of yarn, and this 100% cotton lavender was one of my scores.  I decided to try the style that is similar to the “Meghan”, but with cotton instead.   I love the way this knitted up.  The thickness of the yarn varies, so it gives great texture to the hat, which makes it perfect for portraits.  I know, I know, I’m constantly pushing portraits, it’s the professional photographer in me.  But, don’t you see it?  A newborn baby’s soft, sweet face with this chunky hat?  I can’t wait to get a baby model to try it on.  🙂
